Business Related Environmental Services
Representing individuals and non-publicly held businesses in a variety of environmental law matters, including monitoring and compliance, miscellaneous business-related services, and the defense of claims made by government agencies and others.
Estate Planning
Wills and living trusts; business succession planning; charitable planning, including charitable remainder trusts and charitable foundations; gifting programs and irrevocable trusts, involving life insurance, marketable securities, closely held businesses, family limited partnerships, family limited liability companies (LLC's) and generation skipping transfers; and retirement plan and IRA distribution planning.
Litigation Services
Representation in arbitration proceedings, including labor arbitrations, business and commercial disputes, insurance arbitrations, and construction industry proceedings; representation for select business clients in MESC hearings and appeals. Also, a general trial and appellate practice in state and federal courts in a variety of settings, such as commercial law cases; contract disputes; defense of professional malpractice claims; defense of product liability claims; hospital and other health care provider matters; environmental matters; zoning matters and other property disputes; insurance matters, corporate and other business matters; eminent domain (condemnation) proceedings; personal injury claims; select family law cases (including divorce litigation) in state courts; personnel matters; school law cases; civil rights matters; select tax matters; and select criminal cases.
Probate Matters
Guardianships, conservatorships, and the probate of decedents estates; and the miscellaneous other probate court proceedings.
Real Estate
Leases, deeds, and land contracts; representation in connection with real estate development; environmental services; the purchase and sale of commercial and residential real estate; and like-kind exchanges.
Intellectual Property
Preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Patentability, infringement, state-of-the-art and patentee/assignee database searches. Preparation and filing applications for trademark registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and/or individual states. Name clearance searches to avoid names that could infringe upon existing names or marks. Advice and counsel in copyright matters.
